Sodium Alginate
Alginate forms a protective film over the stomach contents and, as documented in scientific literature, inhibits pepsin and bile salts before they reach your throat. This is the difference between blocking acid and blocking the enzyme that causes the real damage. In practice: the burning sensation at the back of the throat diminishes, and episodes of reflux become less frequent within the first few weeks of regular use.
